When his mother, Tanishas brother Earl Thomas, died, Earl Thomas was told by his doctors that his mother’s heart had stopped beating.
His brother, Earl, is now trying to tell Earl that his sister is still alive.
Earl Thomas says that his family is trying to find a way to keep her in touch.
“My sister is just a really sweet person,” Earl Thomas said.
“She is such a caring person.
She loves her son and I think she is a little bit sad.”
Earl Thomas is one of many Americans who are suffering from depression.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than half of adults in the U.S. are currently experiencing some form of depression, which is the third leading cause of disability in the country.
The number of Americans with depression increased by 17% between 2007 and 2015, according to the CDC.
About 17 million Americans are currently on some form, according the U,S.
Department of Health and Human Services.
About 60% of Americans have at least one serious depressive disorder, according Health.gov.
“Depression can affect anyone, but it affects us most severely for the people that are struggling,” said David Schatzberg, executive director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
“We know from our research that depression is associated with suicide, depression-related health problems, poor health outcomes, substance use disorders and suicide attempts.”
Schatzheim also added that people with depression are more likely to have suicidal thoughts, including suicide attempts.
“When you have someone who is struggling, they may feel overwhelmed and confused,” Schatzberger said.
A report released by the CDC and the National Institute on Drug Abuse in January found that depression and substance abuse is the leading cause in the deaths of Americans over age 50.
A person who has had two or more episodes of depression in a 24-hour period is twice as likely to die by suicide than someone who has never experienced a depressive episode.
People with depression have more symptoms of depression such as sadness, anxiety, anger, sleep disturbances, irritability and difficulty concentrating.
About 10% of people with major depression have suicidal ideation, according The New York Times.
According the CDC, depression is not a disability and depression does not qualify as a mental health problem under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
“People with depression need to know that depression can be treatable and that they can be supported to get through it,” Schulzberg said.
Schatzenberg also added, “If someone is depressed and they are seeking treatment, that’s their choice and that’s what they should be able to do.”
Schutzberg said the family needs to support their mother by helping her to find the proper treatment for her condition.
“I’m not going to let my sister be treated as a person who is a burden,” Earl said.
He said he’s also worried about his sister.
“The last thing I want to see is her getting worse,” Earl told the New York Post.
Earl told ABC News that he thinks about Tanishah often.
“There are things that I can’t talk about with her because I think about her,” Earl, who is black, said.
Earl, a high school football coach, said he hopes to make her a part of his school’s program and has started to write her a letter to her parents.
He is currently writing letters to her and other family members.
Earl also said he doesn’t want Tanishya to be depressed, but he also thinks it’s her fault that her mother is dead.
“Her death, to me, is a death sentence,” Earl explained.
“If I could do anything to help Tanishyah, I would.”

Tanishha Thomas’s brother Earl was diagnosed with depression when she was only 13 years old.
In a video that went viral on social media last year, Earl showed a video of Tanishayas mother saying that she was too depressed to be in the room with her daughter.
Earl then showed the video of his mother saying she was still breathing and telling him she was okay.
Earl said that when he was younger, his mother told him that she wasn’t depressed because she was having a normal life.
“All of a sudden, my mom said, ‘If you want to die, you better be happy and be in a good place,'” Earl said in the video.
Earl says he thinks Tanishia Thomas had the right idea about suicide.
“To me, I think it’s wrong to take someone’s life, especially someone who’s not a threat,” Earl added.
Earl also told ABC affiliate ABC 15 that he’s not against the death penalty.
“No, I don’t,” Earl admitted.
Earl and Tanishys sister, Tani, also spoke about suicide and depression.
